Coming up Sunday 1/23 “Stressbusters: When Life Gets Stuck on Pause”

Wondering what comes next and having no idea how much longer you have to wait to find out can be very stressful. In Philippians 1:20-26 the Apostle Paul’s life is stuck on pause as he is chained in prison waiting to see what the verdict will be. In this passage Paul shares he is ready to glorify Jesus with his life or with his death. Why does God allow us to endure long seasons of waiting? Come to Emmanuel Church this Sunday and be encouraged to see how God can help you grow closer to Him and be more effective in life when you commit yourself to following God’s plans for your life and use your time wisely when life gets stuck on pause.

We meet at 10:15am Sundays at 93 Midway Drive in Virginia, MN. We live-stream the worship hour but in-person is always better than video.

Sunday 1/16 “Stressbusters: When Life Gets Difficult”

Some of the most stressful times come when life doesn’t go as planned. When you get trapped in circumstances you can’t control or you don’t know how you are going to be able to move forward you can either shut down or keep persevering. In the Philippians 1:12-19 we see how the apostle Paul got stuck chained in prison when he expected to be traveling around proclaiming Jesus and establishing new churches. As we read Paul’s story we can see how God was working out his plan in the midst of Paul’s troubles and trials. Come to Emmanuel Church this Sunday and be encouraged to follow and trust the Lord even when life gets difficult.

We meet at 10:15am Sundays at 93 Midway Drive in Virginia, MN. We live-stream the worship hour but in-person is always better than video.

Evangelism and The Engel Scale

Pastor Chris often shares that successful evangelism is helping someone move a step closer to crossing the line from eternal death to eternal life when they repent of their sin and place their faith in Jesus. He also mentions that the Engel scale is a concept chart to give an idea of what some of those steps are before and after they get saved.

Sunday 12/19 – When Grace came Down (Titus 2:11-14)

Christmas is more than a historical story, a cultural tradition, or just a church remembrance. Christmas is the time of year we celebrate Jesus, our Emmanuel, who came to earth to teach us how to live and through his sacrifice makes it possible for us to live with Him forever. While it can seem like the Christian life is a list of impossible to follow rules, it is actually a grace-filled relationship that leads to inner peace and an outward behavior change. This Sunday be encouraged that knowing Jesus and learning how to live righteously is one of the greatest gifts we can ever receive. We meet 10am Sunday at 93 Midway Drive on the border of Virginia – Eveleth.
